Senior Associate Counsel
Clarissa Cu is an associate attorney in the Los Angeles office of A.O.E Law & Associates,
where she practices in our bankruptcy department handling all types of bankruptcy matters.
Clarissa has successfully represented debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 cases.
Prior to joining AOE, Clarissa worked for several years as a legal consultant to one of the
nation’s leading restructuring administrative services firms. There, she worked closely with
financial advisors, Debtors’ counsel and other restructuring professionals to manage the claim
and noticing administration on a wide range of the nation’s most complete corporate
Clarissa has worked on numerous multifaceted Chapter 11
engagements including Residential Capital, LLC, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company,
Circuit City, Washington Mutual, Inc., and rue21, Inc. Clarissa received her Bachelor of Science
degree in Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of
California, Irvine. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los
While in law school Clarissa interned with Los Angeles District Attorney’s office,
working on a number of murder and domestic violence trials. As a post-graduate fellow, Clarissa
worked with the Disability Legal Rights Center and advocated the rights of cancer patients who
were wrongfully terminated while on disability. Clarissa is admitted to the California State Bar
and the U.S. Central District of California.
